A spectacular course at the base of Thompson Mountain has water playing into nearly every hole and wildlife in the form of coyotes or foxes on the loose. The surrounding natural wetlands which are home to an abundance of local wildlife including hawks, eagles and coyotes. Golden Eagles's 36 holes are divided into the North Course and the South Course The signature hole at Golden Eagle is the 15th hole on the North Course. Already intimidating at 205 yards, this par three requires a long carry over water and a large bunker to reach the green. The "Eagle's Nest" clubhouse has one of the best patios in the Lower Mainland.

This course was recently redesigned by Les Furber, and has mountain panoramas, rolling, wide fairways, and islands. All holes require careful shots, especially the par five 18th hole, where a large lake requires 3 careful island-hopping shorts to the green. Ranked by Golf Course Ranking Magazine as one of the top ten public courses in British Columbia, and one of Canada's top 30 courses
