Transportation: Buses

If you are travelling as a group, or if you are traveling alone, taking the bus makes a lot of sense. Vancouver & the Fraser Valley has several bus-friendly transportation options for the traveller.

Greyhound (1 800 661 8747) is the major bus line with scheduled East-West service. Scheduled bus service leaves from major communities in the Fraser Valley. Greyhound also has passenger terminals on its trans-Canada east-west routes in Langley, Chilliwack, Hope and Boston Bar. Buses leave several times a day in every direction. From Vancouver, you can go east to the Okanagan, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto, or South into the United States to Seattle, San Fransisco, or Los Angeles (of course, you can catch the bus from these places and come TO the Fraser Valley as well!). You can catch buses to the Fraser Valley in downtown Vancouver at the CN Station at Main and Terminal. There are 14 departures to/from Abbotsford for a round-trip fare under $19. Thre are 9 daily departures to/from Hope & Vancouver with a round-trip fare under $39.

If you need to get to & from the Abbotsford airport, there are two major shuttle buses: Abbotsford Airport Shuttle (870-4864), and Airport Link Ltd (852-2399).

You can also charter a bus for special group travel, whether its a company or team visiting the city, a ball game, or going skiing at Whistler. Here is a list of the various charter bus companies in the Fraser Valley:
