There is lots to see and do around Calgary in the city. The city has a fascinating history. There are over 25 museums, lots of parks and river-side greenspace, and activities and sports to keep anybody busy (and happy). We even have a page that has tips on hundreds of things to do with kids.

Heading north from Hope toward Lytton and Kamloops is the rugged Fraser canyon. Barely wide enough for this fast-flowing river, somehow a rail line and the Trans-Canada Highway are hanging on to the steep walls, sometimes on ones side (one above the other) and sometimes on opposties sides. The scenery is rugged, with stretches classified as desert plateau, with relatively little snowfall in winter and VERY hot in summers. More...
