Tourist information about the Fraser Valley, and getaways

FoundLocally gives you all of the travel information for the Fraser Valley, including city and area attractions, accommodations, or city maps, as well as get-away travel from the Lower Mainland. This site covers from Langley east to Hope and Manning Park, and then north up the Fraser River to Lilooet.

Visit our sister site, TransCanadaHighway.com, for coast-to-coast travel info.

Intown

Skeena valley in Manning Park

In the southeast, around Hope, see the Quintella Railway Tunnels (shooting location of the Sylvester Stalone movie, "First Blood") , the site of the Hope slide, the lower Coquihalla River. More Hope... heading southeast along the #3 Crowsnest highway you head in to the rugged Manning Provicinal Park, a recreational paradise with a lush (almost raiforest) overgrowth.

Nearby

Fraser River at Yale,BC

Heading north from Hope toward Lytton and Kamloops is the rugged Fraser canyon. Barely wide enough for this fast-flowing river, somehow a rail line and the Trans-Canada Highway are hanging on to the steep walls, sometimes on ones side (one above the other) and sometimes on opposties sides. The scenery is rugged, with stretches classified as desert plateau, with relatively little snowfall in winter and VERY hot in summers. More...

Accommodation

Harrison Hot Springs

There are many accommodation options in the area, from first class hotels, to motels, beds & breakfast, long-term accommodation, wilderness lodges and camping.
